The Bioaccumulation and Detoxification Mechanism of Neodymium on the Shoot of Rice Seedlings

Neodymium (Nd) potentially pollutes environment for its wide usage in agriculture and industry. In this study, the chemical forms of Nd effect on rice shoots were studied after seedlings exposed with 0, 1, 10, 100 and1000 μM Nd. The higher concentration inhibited shoot growth, but lower induced growth. Our results showed that inactive or efficient sequestration into a key detoxification pattern seedlings.With Rare Earth Elements (REEs) agriculture, mechanism helpful assessing environmental safety REEs.
